Showcasing Sedbergh School in Hong Kong
Sedbergh School is a truly international school and our recent award from the Boarding Schools’ Association (BSA) 2023, the Award for Supporting International Boarders, is a demonstration of how we work hard to ensure that our valued international pupils are warmly welcomed into the School community.
Sedbergh School’s recent trip to Hong Kong provided an exceptional opportunity for key stakeholders, including parents, agents, prospective families and Old Sedberghians, to engage with the school’s representatives and learn more about the unparalleled educational experience offered at Sedbergh.
The Sedbergh team, comprising the Headmaster, international relations department and representatives from the Old Sedberghian Club arrived in Hong Kong with the aim of strengthening existing relationships, fostering new connections, and showcasing the remarkable offerings of Sedbergh School.
The highlight of the trip was a successful event held at the prestigious Corbis Hotel on June 19, 2023. Attended by esteemed Sedbergh School stakeholders, the event provided an interactive platform for guests to gain comprehensive insights into the School’s educational ethos, academic programs, sporting achievements, and holistic approach to nurturing pupils. As the School approaches its 500th anniversary in 2025, Headmaster, Mr Dan Harrison presented the ‘future of Sedbergh School’ and talked about the exciting projects and developments.
The Headmaster also expressed his gratitude for the warm reception. He stated, “We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to connect with our valued community in Hong Kong. It was truly inspiring to witness the enthusiasm and passion for Sedbergh School among parents, agents, prospective families, and Old Sedberghians. We are committed to providing a transformative educational journey for our pupils, and events like these further strengthen our bond with our global Sedbergh community.”
The event at the Corbis Hotel served as a testament to Sedbergh School’s commitment to developing strong relationships with its overseas community. It underscored the School’s determination to create an inclusive and supportive community that cherishes the values of hard work, collaboration, and personal growth.
As Sedbergh School concludes its successful trip to Hong Kong, it looks forward to welcoming new students from the region, forging stronger partnerships with agents, and continuing to engage with the wider Sedbergh community.
Representatives from Sedbergh will return to Hong Kong in October 2023.
