Sedbergh International Summer School 2024
Sedbergh School proudly launched the 2024 Sedbergh International Summer School on Saturday, 6th July, welcoming over 150 pupils and dedicated staff to its campus. This year marks a milestone with the arrival of pupils from over 25 nationalities including our friends from Sedbergh Vietnam and Sedbergh Fuzhou, China, further enriching the school’s global community.
The first week has been a whirlwind of engaging activities, with pupils aged 8 to 17 diving into a diverse programme that includes immersive English lessons, creative arts, multi-activities, and outdoor adventures. The highly anticipated Leadership and International Relations course has also made a triumphant return. Pupils have already enjoyed excursions to popular attractions such as Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Beamish Museum, and a magical Harry Potter experience at Alnwick Castle.
“We are thrilled to see the campus buzzing with energy and excitement,” said Kirsten Bentley, Summer School Director. “The diversity and enthusiasm of our pupils create a unique and enriching environment for everyone involved.”
In addition to welcoming new groups from Vietnam and China, Sedbergh School is delighted to continue its partnership with San Martin de Tours in Buenos Aires, reaffirming its commitment to fostering international relationships and cultural exchange.
On 20th July, the summer school will transition to the Sedbergh Prep School campus for an additional three weeks of educational adventures. As the programme continues to grow, the team is already hard at work planning for an even more spectacular summer school in 2025, which will coincide with Sedbergh School’s 500th anniversary.
