A New Chapter for Our School’s Social Media Presence
Following is an important statement from Headmaster, Dan Harrison, introducing a new direction in our social media activity.
For years, X (formerly known as Twitter) has been our primary platform for showcasing the vibrant life of our school, both at our senior and prep campuses. Recently, the platform has undergone significant changes and a growing lack of control over the type of media and information shared on the platform has prompted us to reassess how we connect with our community.
As a result, we’ve made the decision to transition our social media presence from X to Instagram. This platform allows us greater flexibility and control in curating content that reflects our school’s ethos and achievements. Instagram’s visual-first approach also aligns with our goal to provide richer, more engaging content of school life, from academic milestones to extra-curricular adventures and community events.
Over the coming weeks, there will be further communication about the Instagram account information as we look to make the switch at the start of the second half of term.
We look forward to continuing to share the success and daily experiences of our pupils and staff in this new, more secure space.
We already have a presence on Instagram and you can follow our two school accounts at the addresses below. Other accounts are in place (but by no means all) and will look to be live from Monday 28th October. You may see some account activity over the weekend in readiness, but not all accounts will be live until Monday.

Instagram for Teens
In response to community concern, Instagram have announced a major update to protections afforded to their teenage users. Teenagers on the system will be moved to a Teen account.
Instagram accounts of people aged 13-17 automatically have a protected experience, with built-in limits of the content they see and who can contact them. Instagram have begun to roll out their new online safety features for accounts of those aged 13-17, promising to provide more protection for young people and added controls and reassurance for parents.
