We are lucky to have an active and friendly ‘Friends of Sedbergh Prep’ group, who meet regularly with members of the School staff and to discuss social and fundraising events.
The Friends are responsible for organising our Spring Fayre, working with each year group, local suppliers and the school’s facilities team to create a wonderful, eagerly anticpated fundraising event.
This group also organise social events for parents and carers throughout the year including Cheese & Wine evenings, a Burns Night Supper and Quiz Nights. The latter is also organised for boarders. They also support the school in organising refreshments at Sports Days, drama performances and other large School events.
The Friends play an important role at the School’s ‘Meet the Tutor’ events in September, meeting and greeting new parents/carers here and throughout the year at the Friday coffee mornings. They co-ordinate parent What’s App groups so that new families joining the school are connected to the right class groups.
