Our equestrian programme is designed to guide the ambitious rider from their first wobbly trot around the school arena to the more ambitious riders who want to learn jumping and cross country riding, on our ponies or their own. Many of our riders progress to representing the School at NSEA competitions around the country. All riding and pony care activities are supervised by British Horse Society qualified staff, who are committed to developing the skills of our pupils, in a safe and enjoyable environment.
FACILITIES:
- Stables situated within the school grounds
- 40m by 20m outdoor arena
- Jumping paddock with cross country and show jumps
- 25 acres of land, used for field-based tuition and trekking routes
- Rider changing rooms and storage space
- Local bridleways offer excellent hacking opportunities for more experienced riders
LESSONS:
- Pupils can have structured, weekly riding lessons (one or more) and are also invited to attend stable management and activity sessions
- As an official Pony Club Centre, the children are encouraged to work towards achievement badges and certificates
