At Sedbergh, we recognise distinctive potential and abilities through our 11+ Scholarships. They are the highest awards available, granted at the Headteacher’s discretion, to children entering Year 7, and are designed to nurture talent and ability in the fields of academia, art, computer science, design, technology and engineering, drama, music and sport.
Scholarship pupils’ exceptional talent and potential is recognised through the School’s respected Scholars’ Programme and receipients may also be eligiable for a fee concession of up to 20%, which continues throughout their time at Sedbergh Prep and Senior School. We understand that the financial aspect of education is significant. If your child’s enrolment at Sedbergh depends on fee support, please consult with the Admissions Department before beginning the scholarship application process. More information is also available below about Means Tested Bursaries and other concessions.
Scholarship assessments for future Year 7 pupils take place in the January prior to Year 7 entry. For September 2025 entry, the assessments will take place in the week commencing 27th January 2025.
