Donations flood in from across the School to support families and individuals that need help to obtain essentials for living.



Michaelmas Term 2 Charity projects for 3 houses
All pupils should leave Sedbergh with a deep understanding of the role that they individually can play in giving back to their community with humility and kindness.


Year 9 and Year 10 letter writing to nursing homes
Houses provide homemade baking for St John’s Hospice


Christmas Jumper Day for Save the Children
We have chosen to support Save the Children through multiple events because it focuses on improving the lives of vulnerable children worldwide, providing access to education, healthcare, and emergency aid. The organization works in over 100 countries to ensure children grow up healthy, educated, and protected, making a lasting difference in communities. Supporting Save the Children helps give children a brighter future and the chance to thrive.


Lent Term Charity projects for 3 houses
Pupils come together from across or within Houses and sports teams to support charities of their choosing; recent charities supported by pupils include Oddballs and Young Minds UK.

School collection for warm winter clothing and dry foods for South Lakeland Charities


Challenge Week.
During Challenge Week pupils will undertake community service projects – including: filling pot holes, renovating bus shelters and tidying the surrounding areas.
